Salutations, ladies and gentlemen! Let me, Dmitry Kokorin, a multifaceted talent from Munich, Bavaria, Germany, greet you.

Since I was a child (in the mid 70s) I paint and, among other things, write poetry, aphorisms, and short prose. I also began to photograph in 1996. But only recently have I developed a more serious attitude towards my work and I have spent the last years trying to hustle on my work to advance the creative process. That is the reason this web page exists, for it is dedicated to my visual artistry.

My graphic and photographic works are mostly not digital yet, but the ratio is changing and the digitals are gaining the upper hand. The particularity of my point of view (congenital disability of eyesight -70%) and my quaint observations that allow me to see objects/scenes differently influence my works in such a way that they often possess a mystical, therapeutically healing effect. My grateful audience tells me this much on a regular basis.

Currently I prefer displaying and selling not my originals, but copies of my works and of my painted canvasses. BUT, I stress - high quality duplicates, made by directly scanning the original in a professional laboratory in Munich, are available. A special polygraphic high-resolution is employed in the process, a high-quality standard, that allows for detailed posters, illustrations, calendars, artistic postcards and of course the currently popular printed canvas.

Such a printed canvas, immediately fixed on a frame, is not only interesting due to its appealing exterior but also due to the fact that it is immediately ready for presentation - to have it up or display it on the internet. Such a printout can be enlarged or scaled down having a different size to the original according to the wishes of the customer. You can choose velvet instead of canvas - some of my works look better on canvas, although they are more expensive in that case.

Photography -

I choose freely what to photograph, without limiting my genre, although I prefer not to go into journalistic and athletic photography. I am inclined, and I think I succeed in, taking pictures of urban themes. They are my favourite plots - they turn out at me especially well. Only architecture in 'its classically pristine form' emits more life and is more interesting. In doing so I, on the one hand show the city as a living individuum without artificial and laborious traits, and on the other hand without cynism and sarcasm, with a warm touch and an attentive view. It happens quite often that locals barely recognise or do not recognise the scenes at all, but that is what I like the most, and what surprises the audience.

For now I have a lot more photographs than paintings: about 400 middle-sized photographs on 6 x 4,5 cm coiled film. All these shots are devoted to Munich, where I have been living for some time.

I am also in possession of about 150 small-sized photographs. This series shows a wonderful corner of southern Germany: Lower-Main Frankonia, its capital Würzburg, and the suburbian Veitshöchheim.

During the last few years I have been occupied doing mobile photography - a mobile phone camera, their quality has improved constantly, their affordability as well. Good snapshots are a frequent outcome! I have about 1000 of such photohraphs. They show different corners of Bavaria: Munich and its outskirts, Pfaffenhofen at the Ilm - a pleasant Bavarian town. The pride and joy of my mobile collection is - the unique and amazing Dresden, where I have spent only a few days, but managed to capture quite a few interesting things.

Graphics / Artwork -

Aquarelle, gouache, pastell, China ink, wax crayons, but mostly mixed techniques. Some of my works involve flour, cocoa, enamel, ink, banana juice. The size of all the originals are: 30x40 cm.

Drawings on silk -

There are also seven smaller (14 x 14 cm) cloths made of natural chinese silk to which I have set my very own hand, using materials and techniques representing a successful and modern development of batik. Both are a product of a German company. I came in touch with it and its products when I was living in Moscow in 1998.

Ceramics / Majolica -

In autumn 2009 I tried working with clay for the first time. Although my first works were not saved, I managed to create an original and interesting piece of art in spring 2010, which is appareantly classed as majolica - fired clay, painted and glazed before being put in the clay oven.

Papier-mâché -

Also in spring 2010, I for the first time crafted a mask, fitting a lifesize human head. Although I have been using a template: its size and general contours, its form - all that is genuine artistry, are originally and delicately painted.

Considering all the above, I am looking for managers, producers, sponsors/patrons and bookers to be able to more effectively conduct my work in future.

Currently I can only propose to pay by the above mentioned means (that go to my enrichment, and thus to the enrichment of all true art) and only on the basis of a fee - depending on the results, in the form of a percentage of my revenues, but not in advance - as long as no stable financial situation and perspective is established.

I agree to transfer of this information and pictures to your colleagues, businesspartners or clients in case of their interest, constructive communication and collaboration with me.
